Vaporizer serves as a chronic pain relief for patients with chronic diseases like EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa) without suffering from side-effects of morphine or related heavy pain-killer medicines.
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)
In this day and age, appearances seem to matter more than ever, plastic surgery is rampant and people are fanatically obsessed with physical perfection. So what happens when a child is born with EB, Epidermolysis Bullosa – a very rare genetic skin disorder? There is little room left for vanity when one is faced with this. And yet meeting Bor Verkroost and many people involved in an organization called DEBRA completely changed our perception of what it must be like to live with such a rare skin condition.
Meet BOR and learn how ‘vaporizer’ change his life
Bor is a young DEBRA EB conference visitor. We at VaporizerBlog.com started working with Bor to see if a vaporizer would be a good solution for him.
In searching for a method of chronic pain relief, he had been smoking medical marijuana in the form of pre-rolled joints mixed with tobacco (Dutch style).
Unfortunately, the tobacco was undermining the medical benefits of the marijuana so a vaporizer was a healthier alternative that Bor was interested in trying.
We helped him find the right vaporizer that would work best for him and his physical challenges.
Bor discovered that vaporizing was an alternative chronic pain relief and also helped him with his itching, increased his appetite and ensured a good nights sleep.
He explained to us: in order to get chronic pain relief through pharmaceutical medicine, he would have to take a long list of pills like morphine and other opiates, which would have long-term side effects and more than likely be a factor in shortening his lifespan.
Bor quickly became an advocate and a vaporizer enthusiast. He wanted to share ‘vaporizer’ with the world. So he invited us to an International Conference on EB where people from all over the world would gather to discuss the disease and possibilities for chronic pain relief.
DEBRA
It was at this conference where we learned about DEBRA – The Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America, a non-profit International Organization that includes 36 different countries that are committed to finding a cure for EB, which affects 1 out of every 50,000 live births in the United States and 1 in 17,000 live births worldwide. There are at least 500,000 people living with EB globally.
DEBRA is a worldwide network of patient support groups that collectively help with medical, emotional and financial support for families struggling with the day-to-day hardships of living with EB.
The Conference took place in a hospital in Groningen, Holland, where Bor was asked to speak about pain management. Bor raved about his own personal benefits of using a vaporizer and introduced VaporizerBlog.com so that anyone interested could speak to us after the conference. We were approached by a lot of people that were looking for chronic pain relief either for themselves or someone they knew.
Testing vaporizer in Holland hospital
In one of the biggest hospitals in Holland, we pulled out a vaporizer and began testing it right there in the lobby. The waft of weed floated through the hospital corridors without anyone taking notice. It was obvious that a lot of people were eagerly looking for solutions to the many painful symptoms of living with a disease like EB and this was a glimmer of hope.
One woman approached us on behalf of her husband who has MS. He had been using medical marijuana for his spasms but like Bor he was smoking it and the nicotine wasn’t working for him. So she asked us if we would do a home visit and introduce him to a vaporizer.
Another woman (approx.60 years old), in a wheelchair, with a tube in her throat, timidly asked us about vaporizing because she was also looking for pain management alternatives. She had never smoked in her life and was tired of taking morphine and the side effects that come with that. Again we were asked to do a home visit so she could test a vaporizer in the comfort of her home.
Bor talked to woman interested in vaporizing marijuana for medicinal use.
Of course, we offered to help these people and what we discovered reinforced what we had suspected. Vaporizing can help alleviate a variety of uncomfortable symptoms like pain, nausea and spasms with no side effects.
Vaporizer: A life free of pain
Imagine a world where everyone had access to chronic pain relief like vaporizer, either at home or in hospitals and people like Bor, the ones we’ve been working with and many more could have a life that isn’t centered around pain and suffering but instead it could be a life worth fighting for, a life free of pain, a life like any other of pursuing goals and making dreams come true despite the hardships. Vaporizerblog.com is working to make that dream come true.
